Pats reassign two defenceman, roster down to 26

The Regina Pats Hockey Club has made two roster moves ahead of their fifth pre-season game of 2019 Saturday night at the Brandt Centre.

16-year-old defencemen Parker Berge and Marcus Taylor have been reassigned, leaving the Regina roster at 26 players. There are 15 forwards, eight defencemen and three goalies remaining with the team.

Berge was drafted in the eighth round of the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft and signed with the Pats during training camp in 2019. He appeared in two pre-season games with the Pats this year.

Taylor was picked in the ninth round of the 2018 draft and signed with the club at 2019 Spring Camp. He picked up one assist in two pre-season games with the Pats in 2019.

The Pats continue their 2019 pre-season schedule at home to the Medicine Hat Tigers at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre on Saturday night.
