CHL Import Draft Goes Wednesday

The Regina Pats Hockey Club and the rest of the Canadian Hockey League will take part in the 2017 CHL Import Draft on Wednesday.

Defenceman Sergey Zborovskiy and forward Filip Ahl will turn pro in 2017-18, allowing the Pats to make two selections on Wednesday.

The Pats hold the 60th pick in the first round and the 120th overall pick in the second round of the draft.

The draft will begin at 9 a.m. Regina time.

2016: Filip Ahl, 1st round (31st overall).

2015: Nikolai Knyzhov, 1st round (41st overall).

2014: Sergey Zborovskiy, 1st round (39th overall).

2013: Dmitry Sinitsyn, 1st round (16th overall). Maximillian Kammerer, 2nd round (76th overall).

2012: Emil Sylvegard, 1st round (32nd overall).

2011: Dominic Volek, 1st round (9th overall).
