In the second, the Warriors went up 3-1 on an early goal from Tate Popple. Regina got back to within a goal halfway through the period, Sebastian Streu finished off his seventh, a powerplay marker and it was 3-2. The Warriors came back with two goals in a minute and a half to lead 5-2 and that was the score after 40 minutes. In the third, the Pats got back to within a pair thanks to a five on three powerplay goal from Ty Kolle, his 13th and it was 5-3. The Pats pulled the goalie late for the extra attacker, the Warriors scored into the empty net and took the contest, 6-3 the final score.
The Pats were outshot 31-24, the powerplay was two for five and the penalty kill five for six. Austin Pratt led the offence with a goal and an assist while Max Paddock made 25 saves.
