RECAP: Pats Drop Back and Forth Affair with Medicine Hat

The Regina Pats dropped a back and forth affair with the Medicine Hat Tigers, 8-5, at the Brandt Centre on Friday night. Medicine Hat jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead but the Pats got to within one before the intermission. In the second the Tigers scored twice to the Pats one and it was 5-3 after two. In the third, the Pats drew even at 5-5 but the Tigers responded with three in a row, one into an empty net and picked up the two points. Sam Steel led the Pats with a goal and three assists while Max Paddock made 26 saves in goal. Regina was two for four on the powerplay in the loss and outshot Medicine Hat 41-34. The Pats next action is Saturday on the road in Swift Current. Puck drop with the Broncos is at 7 p.m. on 620 CKRM
