RECAP: Pats Come From Behind to Force a Game 7 against Swift Current

The Regina Pats came back from down 3-1 in the second to win 5-3 in game six on Saturday night and force a game seven against the Swift Current Broncos. The Pats scored first in the game but the Broncos came back with three in a row and led 3-1 early in the second. The Pats responded late in the middle frame with goals from Josh Mahura and Wyatt Sloboshan to tie it up 3-3 going to the third. Early in the final frame, Austin Wagner scored his second of the night to make it 4-3, then Filip Ahl made it 5-3 and that was the final score. Filip Ahl and Wyatt Sloboshan led the offence with four points while Austin Wagner put up three. The Broncos outshot the Pats 37-28 in game six, Tyler Brown made 34 saves for Regina, Jordan Papirny 23 for Swift Current. The Pats will host game seven of this second round series on Monday night at the Brandt Centre. Tickets will go on sale at noon Sunday at reginapats.com, the Pats office at the Brandt Centre and at all Regina Safeway locations.
