PREVIEW: Pats Look to Even Series with Broncos in Game 4

The Regina Pats (5-2) are on the road tonight for game four of their second round series with the Swift Current Broncos (6-4). Puck drop at the Credit Union Iplex is at 7 p.m. The Pats dropped game three last night in overtime 2-1 and trail the best of seven set, two games to one. The game can be heard on 620 CKRM with Bennett Dunlop Ford Pats Hockey beginning at 6:35 p.m. It will also be broadcast on Access 7.

Lead Up: Fall in OT in Game 3 Monday
The Regina Pats lost 2-1 in overtime in game three Monday night in Swift Current against the Broncos. With the win, Swift Current takes a 2-1 series lead. Regina, who were without Adam Brooks and Filip Ahl in the game, opened the scoring early in the second thanks to Dawson Leedahl. The Broncos tied it 1-1, just 2:07 later and that was all the goal scoring through regulation. Just 1:46 into overtime, Colby Sissons would win it for Swift Current with his third of the playoffs. Tyler Brown made 31 saves in the loss for the Pats, Jordan Papirny stopped 33 for Swift.

The Pats and Broncos split the first two games at the Brandt Centre, Swift Current taking game one in overtime and the Pats responding with a win in game two. The Broncos bounced back with a 2-1 win in overtime in game three on home ice. Regina has scored eight goals through the first three games, the Broncos have scored five times. Pats forward Austin Wagner is riding a four game point streak heading into game four tonight in Swift Current. The L.A. Kings prospect has scored five goals and has an assist in that stretch. Wagner picked up an assist on the Pats lone goal in game three to extend the streak. The 19-year-old has seven points in seven games so far in the playoffs and is tied for third with six goals, one back of Tyler Steenbergen and Brandon Hagel who have seven.

Leedahl Steady
Pats forward Dawson Leedahl scored the team’s lone goal in the game three loss on Monday night. The 20-year-old has put up eight points through the first seven games of the playoffs. Leedahl has been kept off the scoresheet just twice, recording four goals and added four assists. Leedahl is tied for the league lead at plus nine.
