Pats Alkhimov and Sedov make Team Russia for 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup


The Regina Pats will see both of their import players compete at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

Regina’s first and second round picks in the 2018 CHL Import Draft, forward Sergei Alkhimov and defenceman Nikita Sedov will suit up for Team Russia at the tournament.

Alkhimov played with the Colorado Evolution U16 in 2017-18, scoring eight goals and adding 15 assists for 23 points in 13 games.

Sedov played the 2017-18 season with the Colorado Evolution U16 as well. He put up three goals and eight assists for 11 points in 11 games.

The Hlinka Gretzky Cup features the premiere under-18 players from some of the world’s greatest hockey nations: Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.

The 2018 tournament will take place in Edmonton and Red Deer from August 6-11.
