Pats Acquire Koby Morrisseau from Spokane

Larry Brunt

The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have acquired 17-year-old forward Koby Morrisseau from the Spokane Chiefs along with a conditional 5th round draft pick in 2020. In exchange, the Pats send a 4th round pick in either 2018 or 2019 and a conditional 3rd in 2020 to the Chiefs.

Morrisseau was drafted ninth overall in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft and played in 22 games with Spokane last year, scoring one goal and adding an assist.

“Morrisseau is a good young player,” said Pats Head Coach and GM John Paddock. “We are excited to add him to our team in Regina.”

The Grandview, Manitoba product was a member of Team Canada White at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in 2016, losing in the bronze medal game to Team Russia.

In his Bantam Draft year in 2014/15, Morrisseau scored 39 goals and 61 points in 30 games with the Parkland Rangers of the Manitoba Midget Hockey League.
