Nyjer Morgan's path to the Major Leagues made a stop in Regina with the Pats

The challenge for Nyjer Morgan never was to look, talk and act like everyone else.
The challenge was to find a place that would accept him for who he was.
And that was no easy match.
He's the ventriloquist for his alter ego, Tony Plush, but yearns to be taken seriously for hard work and sacrifice.
He's a show-stealer with his capricious postgame interviews but ultimately gives those interviews because he just came through in the clutch.
He can tick off all of major-league baseball but will then win over fans by throwing souvenir balls and talking to them on Twitter.
No, the challenge wasn't really for Morgan to change.
